Make a donation to Penn Theater, today!

Penn Theater stands as a symbol of cultural revitalization and community involvement for Butler, PA. Originating as a movie theater in the 20th century, this historic venue is currently undergoing a remarkable transformation.

In 2022, Bryan Frenchak and wife Marina, alongside numerous devoted community members, whose investments formed Wallace Group Productions (owners of the Penn Theater Building) have contributed their financial resources, sweat equity, and passion to propel Penn Theater to its current status.

Efforts to save Penn Theater in the past were spearheaded by Penn Theater Performance Company. With the oversight and help of Kenny Bonus, the nonprofit was reestablished, and Penn Theater operations will be overseen by the 501c3 nonprofit.

Though very close to being fully restored and operational, Penn Theater is working to secure its final touches to bring the Butler Community what it deserves. We are looking for additional funding to support the following permanent needs for the theater space:

  • screen/projection
  • stage
  • lighting
  • furniture and fixtures
  • finishing touches

We want to give the Butler Community opportunity to play a part in what has already been started.

From captivating live performances spanning music, comedy, and theater, to thought-provoking speakers, immersive film screenings, and interactive experiences, Penn Theater promises unparalleled experiences that resonate with the diverse interests of its community. We can not wait to be fully opened and share this magical space with you!
